Public Hearings for the Steuben County Plan Commission are usually scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.  Public Hearings for the Board of Zoning Appeals are usually scheduled for the second and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 PM.  Meetings are held in the Multipurpose room of the Community Center.  Special meetings are scheduled when needed.  These meetings are open to the general public.

  • Variance or Special Exception letter from the Steuben County Health Department
Application Fee and signature on the application


All information must be presented to the Plan Commission Office 30 days prior to be placed on the next available agenda.  A Maximum of six agenda petitions will be presented per hearing.

After the hearing you will be billed for certified mail notification letters sent to adjoining property owners and your portion of the legal advertisement, which will be submitted by the Plan Commission for publication.
