1/21/21 PSA re: COVID-19

The Steuben County Health Department was notified of 105 positive COVID-19 test results for Steuben County residents between Wednesday, January 13, 2021 to Wednesday, January 20th, 2021. We have been notified of five (5) deaths associated within the seven (7) day period. Steuben County has a total of 3084 COVID-19 positive cases, and 46 deaths associated with COVID-19 and 2662 considered recovered from COVID-19.
The Indiana Department of Health is reporting a positivity rate of all tested at 15.63%. The Indiana Department of Health has released today that Steuben County has a composite score of 3.0 or Red.
The Indiana Department of Health’s external advisory committee has made the following recommendations on who can receive the COVID-19 vaccine: Indiana residents or those individuals that work in Indiana that are employed as healthcare personnel, first responders, or individuals aged 70 years and older.
