Steuben County has a total of 3262 COVID-19 positive cases, and 57 deaths associated with COVID-19 and 3126 considered recovered from COVID-19. The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) has conducted an audit of COVID-19 cases in 2020 and 2021; the number of deaths reported to be associated with COVID-19 is now reflecting the audited conducted by IDOH

The Indiana Department of Health is reporting a positivity rate of all tested at 8.8%. The Indiana Department of Health has released today that Steuben County has a composite score of 1.0 with an advisory color of yellow. The recent Executive Order 21-02 details the current restrictions on social gatherings to 100 individuals. If a social gathering will exceed 100 individuals, a social gathering submission is strongly recommended to be  submitted to the Steuben County Health Department at healthdept@co.steuben.in.us. The Indiana Department of Health has change k-12 guidance for schools. Please follow guidance from our local school corporations and reach out to them if questions arise.

The Indiana Department of Health’s external advisory committee has made the following recommendations on who can receive the COVID-19 vaccine: Indiana residents or those individuals that work in Indiana that are employed as healthcare personnel, first responders, or individuals aged 65 years and older.
